Details

Embark on the perfect introduction to the world of Thomas the Tank Engine with Toby, the Tram Engine!

Toby, a dedicated worker in a charming seaside town, faced criticism for being considered old-fashioned along with his trusty coach, Henrietta. However, one special day changed everything when a passenger took a ride with Toby and Henrietta, discovering just how remarkably useful this railway pair could be.

Thomas Engine Adventures provides an ideal entry point for early readers to embrace the tradition of Thomas. Geared towards children aged 2 and up, these stories offer delightful encounters with classic characters like Percy, James, Gordon, and Toby on The Fat Controller's railway. Each tale concludes with a bonus spot-and-see activity, making it a delightful addition to bedtime routines.

For over 75 years, Thomas has been imparting timeless lessons about life and friendship. He stands proudly alongside beloved characters such as Paddington Bear, Winnie-the-Pooh, and Peter Rabbit, etching his place as an indispensable part of our literary heritage.

About the Author:
Crafted in the early 1940s by a devoted father, a small, blue, wooden engine named Thomas became the focal point of delightful stories for his son, Christopher. These tales, created by THE REVEREND W AWDRY, accompanied the cherished toy and were first published in 1945. Reverend Awdry continued to weave new adventures and characters until his retirement in 1972. He left a lasting legacy, passing away in 1997 at the age of 85.
